- remove old technical conducts
- replace old rusty technical distribution systems with new systems
- integrate energy-efficiency measures
This Brutalist Architect House was created in the ‘70s. Its Brutalist and therefore honest character was a strong reason for Promanas to buy the building and locate their office in this Building.
Although this design was well ahead of its time in terms of energy-efficiency and multi-use purpose, its use and detoriation of technical installations as well as water infiltrations made this renovation and rehabilitation to be an urgent neccesity. A complex building for renovation.
Complexity: the preservation of the buildings brutalist architecture was crucial, therefore only works with minimum impact and maximum result could be taken.
By focussing on local measures with impact on the energy-efficiency of the entire building and by re-use of materials this project is brought to succes.
